Favorite Dresses

Dresses are often the focal point of a woman’s wardrobe with a rich social life. They are full-looks and fashionista’s no-brainers. A dress makes a head-to-toe statement; the only things to be added are shoes and other accessories. Post-pandemic, we are getting back to our favorites!

Cocktail Dresses and Gowns

In bold colors inspired by gemstones, these dresses at mini or midi length are your answer to a cocktail party invite. We love those with embroidery and lace, but also sheath styles made of silky satin or stretchy, elegant fabrics. Off-the-shoulder and halter necks are ultra-flattering and a hint that summer is approaching. Cut-outs are for hot dates and embroidery for wedding receptions and other romantic events. These dresses are fashion statements in their own right; they don’t need much accessorizing. Look for flirty details such as an open back, a ruffle, or an accentuated waist. A fit & flare silhouette is dreamy, while a fitted one looks sharp. In between, you will find fluid Grecian-inspired styles that look amazing with sandals.

On formal occasions, a floor-length dress is required. As we are gradually starting to see more events in our calendar, we feel ready to shop for eveningwear. Full-on glamour sounds “not of the moment,” yet understated versions of it will be part of our “come back” wardrobe. Ethereal fabrics, frills, graphic motifs, and discreet embellishments will bring joy to our shopping experience. Be daring with plunging necklines or thigh-high hem slits when the dress code allows for it. Try statement colors that allude to nature or art. Combined with high-heel platforms, these dresses are figure-elongating and majestic. Adorn your V-neck with multiple necklaces and find beautiful stoles for elegant layering in transitional weather. Simple long dresses can be the perfect foundation.

Getaway Looks & Neutrals

Bohemian dresses with artisanal and retro details and those with cute prints are what you need to pack for a getaway. Bishop sleeves, tiered hems, ruched details, puff shoulders, and scalloped edges get us back in time or far away to countryside or seaside destinations. You can wear them barefoot while strolling on the sand or with gladiator sandals and espadrilles. You also need a basket purse or a canvas tote. Beaded jewelry spices up your springtime look. Look for breathable fabrics like cotton or linen and try somewhat roomy silhouettes, those that feel comfy. Boho-chic dresses are also your go-to pieces for outdoor music festivals, barbecue parties, and island vacations. Florals are surely priorities, along with stripes and other classic motifs.

Plain chic dresses with very few details and a flattering silhouette are timeless assets. The idea is that you can style them for any setting and occasion. They are so simple that they call for statement accessories, including chunky jewelry, playful handbags, colorful scarves, and bold shoes. The key to these dresses is that they are well-made and crafted from great-quality materials. Practical advantages such as being crease-free, durable, and foldable can further expand their use. You can travel or be active in them. Pick colors or better non-colors such as nude, plush, white, black, and grey so that your mix & match possibilities are countless. Look for those that further highlight your body, including a deep neckline or a mini-length hem.
