Re-Define Elegance

In every new era, we tend to reevaluate things, redefining the notions of beauty, style, and elegance but also our attitude towards life. Over the last 2 years, we learned how to cope with extreme adversity and care for ourselves. Now, we focus on creating a wardrobe that meets our needs and personality.

Fashionista or Minimalist

Some women love to wear “what’s next!” They follow the trends and have fun with fashion. Old things are boring to them; new things are exciting. Every new silhouette is a challenge they are thrilled to take. We call them fashionistas because they are into fashion in their own playful and creative way. Watching runway shows, checking fashion brands on Instagram, and putting together fabulous streetstyle is their joy and obsession. New colors are instantly adopted as part of their experimental, daring approach. These girls never shy away from wearing something bold or revealing. They are constantly looking for ways to adjust trends to their personal style. For them, the new definition of elegance is a look that allows them to transform and stand out from the crowd.

Following trends or not, minimalists stick to their affinity for simplicity. They never give up on their “less is more” mantra; all they wish for is a detail-free sleek look. Minimalists are practical and often have a limited color range in their wardrobe. They lean towards monochromes and neutrals; you rarely encounter a print in their closet. Redefining elegance for them is to land the best fit, a flattering color, and a look that works as a day-to-evening option. In their new chapter of self-care, these ladies pay even more attention to premium-quality fabrics and comfort. A single-piece look like a dress or a jumpsuit serves their busy lifestyle. Functional details like pockets, drawstrings, hoods, and detachable or versatile elements make them super happy!

Romantic or Girl Boss

You might be a fashionista or a minimalist, yet at the same time a romantic at heart! If you love fluid, ethereal silhouettes, florals, ruffles, old-school femininity, or boho-chic looks, you are one of them. Inspired by previous decades, their looks stand the test of time. Redefining a romantic’s notion of elegance is not an easy task, yet designers know how to do it successfully, mixing elements from different eras and infusing their nostalgic fashions with a dose of modernity through new fabrics or techniques. The 40s and 50s are extremely popular among the girliest representatives of the attitude. Yet the 70s are a source of inspiration for bohemian girls. These ladies opt for crinkled textures, frayed edges, asymmetric hems, fringes, roomy silhouettes, and anything effortless.

On the other side of the spectrum, you will find the “girl boss” type of woman, as successfully defined by American entrepreneur and author Sophia Amoruso in her best-selling autobiography. This girl type is now working from home, nailed it throughout the pandemic, and is eager to rock her most tailored power suit at business meetings and other activities. A woman like her loves an androgynous look. As a teenager, she might have been described as a “tomboy,” yet today, she is sexy, fabulous, and independent, a lover of sharp tailoring and an extra-polished look. She is now color-coordinating her blazers in her closet to dress faster for the next conference! She also has a rich collection of suits and pants. She is redefining elegance too, via flirtier details. Perhaps a cropped top under her blazer or a slightly more unbuttoned shirt? She now wants to dominate the scene…
